REQUEST AGREEMENT AND GENERAL INFORMATION REGARDING OUR PERSONNEL DATA PROCESSING POLICY

For us, given the special relationship with you, it is especially important to ensure the protection and confidentiality of the personal data you provide us with.

 

WHO WE ARE

 

Romanian Journal of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Hypnosis (ISSN: 2360-3429, ISSN–L: 2360-3429) is a periodical that aims to stimulate and promote the work of the specialists and psychology students (bachelor’s and master’s degree) who are willing to bring a personal contribution to the field of clinical psychology and psychotherapy by creating personal scientific articles.

The journal is published under the aegis of Cognitive Behavioral Therapies Master of Science Program, Department of Psychology and Psychotherapy, Titu Maiorescu University and The Association of Psychopharmacotherapy and Cognitive Sciences, Bucharest, Romania, with a frequency of 4 issues per year, and offers a free source of original papers that address any topic relevant for the theoretical framework and clinical practice of hypnosis, cognitive behavior therapies or other forms of psychotherapy.

The journal’s space is allocated to the publication of the results obtained in experimental, correlational, meta-analysis and case studies, as well as to the presentation of a diversity of review, technical, and methodological articles that are concordant with the aims of our journal.

The Romanian Journal of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Hypnosis has entered into an electronic licensing relationship with EBSCO Information Services, the world's most prolific aggregator of full text journals, magazines and other sources.

 

WHAT DATA WE USE

 

In order to provide information to promote local, national and international events, marketing, advertising, development, market research, statistics and media, you agree to give us the following personal data: name, e-mail address and residence city.

Please DO NOT provides us with any personal data other than what is strictly necessary for the purpose specified in this context.

 

Personal data: means any information relating to a natural person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, or location data.

Processing: means any operation which is performed on personal data, such as collection, recording, organization, storage, adaptation or any kind of disclosure or other use.

 

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE AND LEGAL THRESHOLD OF DATA PROCESSING

 

Personal data provided with your consent will be collected and processed by us solely for the purposes that we will set out below.

We mention that processing of your personal data is based on your consent to that effect (Article 6 (1) (a) of the General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter referred to as the Regulation.

The situations in which the will collect and process your personal data and the purpose for which these data will be processed is:

The collection of personal data in this case is primarily intended to enable users to have easy access to local, national, international events as well as offers that our partners want to make known to us.

 

TO WHOM WILL INFORMATION BE DISCLOSED

 

We inform you that for the efficient operation of the platform, we use different services from external or internal providers (“authorized agents”) to whom we can pass on some of your personal data collected from you, with the express mention that we will only appeal to empowered persons providing sufficient guarantees for the implementation of appropriate technical and organizational measures so that the data processing complies with the requirements of the Regulation and ensures the protection of your rights. The categories of services for which we cooperate with the above mentioned suppliers the personal data transferred to them are as follows:

 

1. SMTP services (e-mail communication) – e-mail address;

2. Newsletter services – e-mail address, name, city.

 

HOW LONG WE STORE PERSONAL DATA

 

The personal data you provide us with will be stored until you express your desire to unsubscribe by accessing the unsubscribe button.

We strive to keep our processing activities with respect to your personal data as limited as possible. In the absence of specific retention periods set out in this policy, your personal data will be retained only for as long as we need it to fulfill the purpose for which we have collected it.

RJCBTH does not actively share personal data with any organization or individual outside the newsletter service.

 

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS

 

You have the following rights:

The right to delete the data - you have the right to obtain from the Romanian Journal of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Hypnosis the deletion of personal data concerning you without undue delay, and the Romanian Journal of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Hypnosis has the obligation to delete the data when:

(i) Personal data are no longer required for the purposes for which they were collected or processed;

(ii) Withdraw the consent on the basis of which processing takes place and there is no other legal basis for processing;

(iii) Oppose the processing and there are no legitimate reasons to prevail in terms of processing;

(iv) Personal data has been processed unlawfully;

(v) Personal data must be deleted in order to comply with a legal obligation under the law of the Union or the Romanian legislation;

The right to file a complaint to the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing.

 

HOW YOU HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR DATA

 

You have the right to access the information that we hold about you. All requests regarding personal data that you have submitted to us, including the exercise of your rights as mentioned in the previous section, should be sent to: contact@rjcbth.ro

 

The Romanian Journal of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Hypnosis will provide you with the requested information in electronic format whenever possible, unless you request another format.

The information provided and any communication and measures taken by you to exercise your rights above are provided by the Romanian Journal of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Hypnosis. However, if your claims are unfounded or excessive, especially because of their repetitive nature, the Romanian Journal of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Hypnosis may:

(i) charge a fee, taking into account administrative costs for the provision of information or communication or for taking the required measures;

(ii) Refuse to comply with the request.
